That does sound pretty nice will have to give it a try, although I am struggling to get MQTT-Spy working on my mac thanks to java issues. Another option that I have setup on my older RFM12B nodes is graphing to emonCMS it is a free cloud service by the open energy monitor guys that has some pretty nice dashboards and stuff.
If you are thinking of using node-red it is pretty simple to add a flow to publish all relevant MQTT topics to emonCMS.
This is the blog I based my node-red implementation off http://nathan.chantrell.net/20140208/tinytx-tiny328-sensors-with-node-red/
