Christmas Instant Tip

PoundStretcher sensor light.

If ever you get the urge to buy one of these as a quick fix for automatic external lighting – don’t – just don’t. I bought a pair of these PIR lights locally in the UK on a trip over earlier this year, from PoundStretcher – sadly, I didn’t keep the receipt.

The back of our new home gets quite dark and with a spot of nano-tape this 3-AA-powered sensor light looked ideal for mounting on the back door.

Back in the real world the first one quickly fell apart and when I came for another visit I realised that despite being placed above cat-sensing level, the device had actually lasted a matter of only several weeks before needing new batteries.

What an utter waste of money. I’ve kept a hold of this so I can put a picture in here, and now it’s in the bin.
