This new device from Shelly in Bulgaria is a SLIM paper-white display temperature, humidity and light level sensor.
I love the display, very low-power consumption, uses on a pair of CR2032 batteries (supplied – up to 2 years battery life) and the device comes with a flat magnetic, adhesive-backed wall plate and also a multi-purpose bracket. As you can see it is VERY thin.
The Blu H&T works on Bluetooth as part of the Shelly family – but I prefer Zigbee where possible and it supports both so I hooked the device into my Home Assistant Zigbee network – easy and it was running within a couple of minutes – BUT – and I’ve fired a question back at Shelly – no light entity in Zigbee yet, just temperature, humidity, battery and link level. Immediate answer – “there’s a pull request waiting to go through”.
Meanwhile I got everything working in the Shelly app.
For reference, below are what shows in the Home Assistant settings – 2 versions, the Zigbee version appeared as soon as I paired the device with Zigbee, the BT version appeared when I paired the device with the Shelly app.
Very comprehensive instructions.
More when they update the code to include the light level.
